I designed this mount system to hold the sections together, as well as act as loop to hook the chain to for hanging the lights from the ceiling. It works well. There is a zip tie channel that lines up between the two pieces to accomplish this. 7/28/2019 EDIT: Added simple end clip and updated corresponding STEP file.
