This left fibula of a chimpanzee (Pan troglodytes) was 3-D scanned with a NextEngine Desktop 3-D scanner at the National Museum of Health and Medicine. This chimpanzee was the first ape in space and was named Ham and was launched into space on January 31, 1961 aboard a Mercury space capsule. Speciment Identifier AFIP 1871496.
