Lego train track adapter 12V to City including power rail

The original by Druckgott introduces an extra row of knobs and thus it is not possible tor run the old 12V power rail along the new tracks. The old power rail is cheap, but the outer rails are expensive, because they break first, so I would like to electrify the new rails with the old power rails so both trains can use all the tracks. Whether this will work in practice remains to be seen. The idea of this piece is that you have to destroy one of the new rails by cuting off the ends so they are flush with the old rails. An alterative would be to print an entire 16xRaster long rail piece with this adapter integrated, I might try that next.
