This is a photo scan of the bronze bust of Leif Erikson which stands in front of Leif Erikson Hall in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle. I shot 34 photos with a Nikon DSLR. It was modeled with Agisoft PhotoScan and retouched in 3Dcoat. It was printed on a SeeMeCNC Orion at .1mm layer pitch. The black PLA print was dry brushed with silver guilder's paste. We talked about this thing and a whole lot more about 3d printing on the 3D Printing Today podcast available on iTunes, Stitcher radio or direct from the source at http://threedprintingtoday.libsyn.com/
