***I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR DAMAGED COMPUTER PARTS, EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN, USE AT OWN RISK*** This is a case extension that I designed to utilize the M75q Gen 2's NVMe slot for a PCI-e x4 interface instead. For my use case, I wanted to add a 10Gbe card but as it is an AMD chipset, there is no way to purchase it with Thunderbolt, and unlike previous Intel based ThinkCentre tiny machines, it does not have a PCI-e slot. The solution to this is to buy an NVMe to PCI-e x4 adapter, a USB to SATA adapter for power delivery, a 10Gb card that will fit the x4 lane properly, and then print the extension. This STL was modeled to work best with the following adapter in mind: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Z4RC273 The intent is to have the PCI slot in the back with the rest of the I/O, with the USB cable fished through the smaller slot in the front. The hole on the side of the case should easily fit a #2 phillips screwdriver to allow mounting of the network card. Any single slot PCI-e x4 card could fit. This could be remixed into something that could add an eGPU, while this idea is amusing, I have no plans to do so. As it stands right now, I simply rest the ThinkCentre on top of the box as the walls are thick enough to support it. I plan on creating some brackets to hold the two pieces together, along with vertical stand brackets to fit the new thickness. I've printed in PLA for proof of concept and have been using it without issue. If your card generates a ton of heat, I would suggest printing in PETG or ABS, but I haven't tested those materials yet. This was printed on an Ender 3 Max but it has the same dimensions as the M75q (182 x 179mm), so should be fine on a standard Ender 3.
