I ordered a bunch of Trackpoint caps from Banggood (https://www.banggood.com/Wholesale-Pointer-TrackPoint-Red-Cap-For-IBM-Thinkpad-Laptop-p-50287.html?cur_warehouse=CN), but only afterwards realized that these caps are for a larger trackpoint button where as the caps for my laptop must have a smaller hole. Problem solved: Here is an adapter to fit a cap with a bigger hole into the smaller trackpoint button mechanics. Required quite a few prints to get the size of the hole right, but eventually works as expected (after extensive 10min testing :) ). Not the most complex thing - I admit.
