Less is More Rodholder

As a fisherman I really enjoyed getting in this challenge as I can feel on my skin the needs of this sport. First thing I focused on is keeping the total number of elements as low as possible because, while fishing, you have to take care of so many little pieces of equipement that can easily fall, so a rodholder, for me, should be carried as a one element with the less screws as possible. For this reason mounting the rodholder requires only tightening ONE screw. Second thing I wanted to care about is EFFICIENCY. Usually a fisherman doesn't always do one kind of fishing and most important, a rodholder is not always meant for the fishing purpose but for carrying and resting too. For this reason i chose the best rod angle as possible as it became enough sensible for Surf Casting fishing and confortable for resting in Spinning fishing. Last but not least i kept attention on manufacturability and sustainability. As seen in the picture the design keeps an eye on the possibility of replacing wood pieces reducing the waste as low as possible. Also the manufacturing process is very easy and cheap as the main frame is made by 2 bent steel rod joined by ONLY one weld. There are 3 wooden supports two of which are joined to the main frame by an ingenius system which does not require any bolt. The whole package consist in only 7 elements that, once assembled, will not require any further adjustment. The design eventually fits in every place on the kayak as it 3 Point Lock based system.
