LG Nexus 4 Cellphone Mock-up for Cover/Case Design

100% scale mock-up of a LG Nexus 4 phone. Camera and speaker locations are identified via 0.1 mm deep depressions on the face and back surfaces. Headphone plug, microphone and USB/charging port locations are deeper depressions on the perimeter. Power and volume button locations are raised on either side. How I Designed This Reverse engineered from precision 3D scan of an actual LG Nexus 4 phone. Surface geometry and best-fit parametric data derived from captured mesh model and exported for reverse engineering. Autodesk 123D Design used to create parametric model and export STL mesh file. Dimensions, perimeter profile, edge radii parametric data derived from 3D scan geometry. Perimeter profile was extruded, edges filleted using best-fit parametric entities, features created and embossed or raised in the appropriate locations. Face view. Back view.
