ONLY for Class II TV‘s (without Ground, check for the Class II symbol on your TV‘s nameplate, picture below). I own 2 LG Oled TV's which are both mounted on the wall. For some odd reason, both have a cord attached to a plate (with included strain relief) and then it goes to an internal plug on the main PCB. Since there is more than enough room for an C8 (figure 8) inlet/socket to go, I decided to design a replacement plate to hold a C8 inlet and upgrade the TV. Now my LG Oled's have a detachable cord (like all the TVs I owned before!!). The ugly extension cord is finally gone :) Since my LG Oled's do not exceed the 2.5 A rating of the C8 connector, the Mod should be fine. Please be aware that modding the TV's mains input is dangerous and should only be done by an electrician or a person allowed to handle mains voltage.
