LG Optimus LG Phone Case

This is a basic phone case for the LG Optimus L9 by T-Mobile. The only customization I have done is make a 50mm x 50mm x .5mm pool with 2 lane lines. The only holes are for the camera and LED. Instructions I took the external dimensions of my phone case and then subtracted the dimensions of my phone to determine how thick the walls of my phone case are. I then, using SolidWorks 2012 x64 Edition, built a box the size of my phone case by making a rectangle and extruding it to the desired thickness. Next I created a new plane so I could extrude-cut out the opening to use the phone (when it's in the case), as well as a new plane to extrude-cut the hole my phone would rest in. Then I extrude-cut a hole for the camera and LED. After that I made a square on the face that my phone would touch (on the back) plus a lane line, which I made to scale by measuring in a pool with a tape measure, which was the basis of a linear pattern to make 20 lines. Finally, I extrude-cut the square .5mm into the back-face inside and extruded the lane lines so they weren't just floating in mid-air.
