My LG filter port became misaligned. I plyers, screwdrivers, a spade bit, and even tried using the old filter as a socket per [this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mgPSoJrxSw). I could not get it to turn even with significant torque. I was afraid I was going to break the tabs on the port. Instead, I designed this socket which interfaces with a notch in the outer ring. Using this, a 3/8" drive socket wrench, and an extender, I was finally able to get it free.
