Lid for 25mm calibration box
thingiverse
I utilize this box https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2267549 for calibration of the extrusion multiplier (see details here https://mattshub.com/2017/04/19/extruder-calibration/ ) and real-time z adjustment, but I also designed a lid that's 26x26x7, which I print with the same settings - one perimeter, no infill, no top layers. The result is a bunch of small boxes that are more useful than something disposable. I mentioned this in a Facebook group for 3D printing and some members expressed interest in the .stl file if it were available here. So I'm making it available. It's not an elaborate design, but the boxes are adorable, and I use them for small items - screws when disassembling something and needing to keep track of them so I can reassemble it, storing my morning medication in one the night before so I don't have to gather them when I'm half asleep. The size seems to work well for me (printing at .45mm layer width for extrusion multiplier tests), as they fit snugly but not too tightly. They're not excessively secure due to a single perimeter wall on both the box and lid, which is intentional - if they were too tight, they would break. That's probably enough talking about this silly little lid.
