How to build: Cut wing thru middle at a right angle - and here we go straight to the tricky part - Drill a hole for the carbon wing tubing from center until wing bend. To position the hole, we use the printed ClosureWing part. Careful to drill perpendicular to end of wing. I use a (almost glowing hot) Ø4mm pianowire in a jig. See picture of my jig. Glue LockBushing into ClosureWing using cyano. Clocking the key as shown on pic. Fit the Bushing to be flush on inside of Closure. Closures are hotglued to end of wing, but wait until all work is done. You may need to cammoflage some skewness between wings and WingModule. The Wing Module is printed upside down, with support faces for servos upwards and horizontal. Supports are needed to support curved Wing Module against print bed. No supports are needed on equipment-side. That allows a tight fit for servos. WingModule are in two versions, one for Savox SV-1260MG servos. A heavy overkill yes, but they happen to lay unemployed on my desk when I started this design. It flies fantastic in 20m/s with an exciting rollrate. See videolink or search "LiDL Glider 20m/s" on Youtube. The other Wing Module is for TowerPro MG90S servos. I made it for some friends who hasn’t flown it yet. But it seens like at good inexpensive match for the model. MG90S have metal gear, which is a good idear with this all-wing aileron concept. These servos need a piece of 2mm balsa between Module and servoface, that makes it easier to take the servos out using a flat screwdriver. See pic. How to fit and lock wing into WingModule: Slide wingtube in WingModule. Turn wing upside down. Slide wing on wingtube. Turn wing half revolution and attach servolinks. See pic. For wings I use a Ø8x500 carbon tubing. If ballast is needed, I replace it with a sold Ø8x500 steel rod. To support the tube in the WingModule, two SupportWingtube parts are glued to clamp the tube into the Module. Be aware of correct positioning, flush on inside, see pics., and careful not to glue the tube into WingModule. I use a Robbe UltraHP 2P 550mAh LiPo akku, an Orange R620X receiver without its casing, but wraped in a shrinktube and finally a magnet switch. All electronics are contained in the center of the wing, but akku and Rx can also be installed in the nose to balance COG, My COG is 58mm from leading edge of wing. Radiomix. Here I pull a lot of aileron but counter with 100% Expo! Try out your own mix and have fun :)
