Light box display
thingiverse
Designers are seeking a dust-repellent system that can display your collection in an organized manner. Two distinct sizes, downloadable from the source code, measure 65mm by 65mm and 75mm by 90mm. The project has no height limitations, allowing users to adjust it according to their needs. We suggest allocating 2/3 of the light box's height for the collection's display area, ensuring an aesthetically pleasing balance between them. For example, a collection 6cm tall paired with a 9cm tall light box achieves a striking visual effect. This project requires the following components: 1. A custom-designed base for the bottom of the light box (xxxxbottom.stl). 2. A top element created using 3D printing technology (xxxxtop.stl). 3. A protective cover for the top (xxxxtopcover.stl). 4. Two sheets of 2mm thick acrylic, measuring 76mm by self-defined height and including a 4mm buffer on each side. 5. Additional two sheets of 2mm acrylic with measurements matching the base's depth plus 8mm and including a self-defined height plus 4mm on each side. 6. Three high-intensity LED strips, 5cm in length per section. 7. A single rechargeable 12-volt battery capable of 23 amps, along with a battery case holder. 8. One small toggle switch for controlling the LED's power supply. 9. Basic electronic components and wiring skills for successful setup. 10. Fundamental knowledge on electronics and soldering techniques.
