Light box for LED photoelectric effect apparatus lab

thingiverse

This is a light blocking box designed for use with the LED Photoelectric Effect Apparatus lab designed by Wayne Garver, University of Missouri, St. Louis (http://physicsquest.homestead.com/ledphotoelectric_apparatus.pdf). The box helps prevent ambient light from affecting the phototube and reduces fluctuations or noise in the readouts. Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2X Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: Med to Low Infill: 50+ Notes: Print the light box upside down so that the base of the container will be as flat as possible. This will help when attaching to the lower portion of the apparatus. If you use darker filament, you can get away with printing lower infills. It takes about 6 hours to print at 0.2 mm resolution with 50% infill, rafts, and supports. Due to some residual rafting in the LED hole, you might need to smooth it down just a tad with a jewelers file or sandpaper.
