Light Painting GEL Holder

Light Painting GEL Holder

thingiverse

I'm interested in light painting and needed some quick coloured lighting, so I purchased some cheap coloured lighting GELs and set about designing a holder that mounts to my LED torches I already own. The attachment keeps the GEL away from the heat, as well as shielding the light source from the camera. The GEL can be swapped as well which makes this fairly useful. This package comes with 1 - FreeCAD design file ( note: I am using RealThunder Link Daily build) ( https://github.com/realthunder/FreeCAD_assembly3/releases ) 2 - GEL - Universal front cover - used by both torch attachments 3 - Small torch model 4 - Larger torch model But you have the FreeCAD model, so edit away :) You need two parts for a GEL holder 1 - Universal front cover 2 - X torch model (small or large) Superglue along the raised edge of front cover, then attach to body carefully. Let dry then ya done. I printed the main body using a flexible (Black TPU), then printed the front cover in a rigid plastic (I used Black ASA due to its nice matt finish) I grabbed some GELs from Amazon the set about chopping them into smaller pieces to fit into my new GEL holder. Hope you enjoy - it's working an absolute treat for me.
