Light Panel with action camera mounts

Light Panel with action camera mounts

I needed a few portable lights that were bright, tough, easy to mount and can be packed away neatly without taking up much space. I settled on making the light panel connect standard mounting hardware for my GoPro cameras, which is now used by multiple brands, it's cheap, strong and there are mounting options for almost any surface you can think of. The panel measures 215mm (8.46in) x 155mm (6.1in) and only 10mm (0.39in) thick. they stack neatly on top of each other as there are recesses for the screws that attach the diffuser in the bottom of each panel. The panel contains 150 LED's and consumes a little over 2 Amps of current at 12 volts. The panel does get hot, so I recommend not using PLA for the panel as it may get soft and warp. My panels are printed in ASA and PETG and havent had any softening problems after being run for quite some time. Another option would be to add some ventilation slots to the panel. To assemble you'll need 4G x 10mm self tapping screws (or something similar) to attach the diffuser LED strip of your choice (Would love to see one of these with addressable RGB LED's) Wire, connectors, solder A 12v DC power source capable of supplying 2 Amps (for the LED's that I am using, your requirements may vary) I have also included a version of the panel with out mounting hardware options for you to customise, as well as the STEP files for all parts of the panel.
