Light Switch Extender for Young Kids

Light Switch Extender for Young Kids

thingiverse

This is a light switch extender that allows small children to reach the light switch. These have been perfect for my 3 year old son to help make him more independent. I have printed it in PLA and it seems to holdup quite well. I would suggest printing it solid but have printed a few down to 50% infill and they have held up so far. The screw slots are still a little too long but it doesn't affect the operation of the extender. I made this with Sketchup and provided the SKP file so you can modify to your own liking. I printed a couple of these in glow in the dark filament and they are awesome! This is my first design, so please feel free to give me some notes, corrections or helpful hints on how to improve this model and models in the future. Instructions I printed with PLA, 1.75mm, 2 Perimeters, .2mm layer height (.3 should be fine) I didn't need a skirt, brim or a raft for this print but if you don't use hairspray or have a heated bed you might want a skirt or a brim.
