Light weight-Without Ramp -Mechanical trailer- CATFISH

This trailer design is without ramp.Lifting the trailer is manual using jack+telescopic universal joint. That means you don't need any hydraulic/pneumatic or electric setup to lift the car. This is a fabrication/welded design . I have maximum used 2 1/2" structural steels of different size and "C"- Channels to carry the load of catfish. Car is lifted on the wheels and there will be clearence between chasis and the frame .To lift all 4 jacks at a time I have used 2 nos of 90 degree gear box . When the jack is closed overal height of the frame is 120 mm .Wheel assembly is fixed to the frame only when the frame is lifted to cretain height (475 mm). This design will help to open/close the door of the car when car is properly positioned on the frame. This type of modular design will help a easy accomodation of this trailer in a small single garage. Working of the this trailer is explained below . Please check the images (stage -1 to 5) which I have uploaded for ease of understanding Stage 1- Jack is fully closed and the frame is kept behind the car, The car is drove on the frame through the channel . The tyre of the car should be fully inside the channel. Stage 2- Insert the wedge block and lock it with the lynch pin. This will prevent the to and fro motion of the car Stage 3- Jack is fully opened to a height approx 475 mm by rotating the spindle of the gear box. Now the whole assembly is resting on the jack. Stage 4-Fix the Wheel assembly on both the sides as well as the jockey wheel also Stage 5-Lower the jack and now the assembly is resting on the tyre. The axis of the tyre is not finalized, Once we know the real CG of the whole model we can move it .
