this is a custom core-xy frame for laser engraving. This is, in my honest opinion, the most user friendly frame. Super easy to assemble and minimum adjustment requires on belt tension to get it to work perfectly square. using mgn12 linear rails, there is minimum to no play on the axes. i have done my best, also, to keep the weight of the laser head the most centered and close to the x aluminium profile. Belt path is optimized and aligned with the frame. My config.h file is also included in the downloads UPDATE 15/02/22: Added new parts files for the Y carriage that gives you the choice of using 3mm or 5mm idlers pulleys...plus they are sexier and lighter UPDATE 18/02/22: new front pulley blocks to use 5mm I.D. idlers. so you can use 3mm I.D. pulleys or 5mm I.D. Update 20/02/22: added stl for the gantry alignement tools. print x2 and drop those on top of the 2040, one on each front side and bring your gantry forward, tighten your belt making sure the two side stay in contac with the tool. secure your belt with ty-rap or belt clips. remove the tools, thats it your gantry wil move perfectly square. https://github.com/grbl/grbl/wiki/Compiling-Grbl BOM: 2040x600 (x2) 2020x600 (x3) you will have to cut one of these to 585mm for the x axis mgn12h x500mm (x3), optional: you can go for 550mm for the x but those are hard to find gt2 belt 6mm wide x 5m (2x2,5m) highly suggest gates belts or bigtreetech belts gt2 toothed idlers 3mm or 5mm i.d.
