Lightning Bolt Earrings

Expanding my digitally fabricated jewelry collection, I decided to create a pair of lightning bolt earrings for my first project using the Makerbot. I designed these electrifying earrings using Autodesk Inventor software and extruded the sketch by .1". The lightning bolt measures roughly 2-1/4" long. Although slightly warped, I am happy with the way the earrings turned out and look forward to wearing them! Instructions I printed each earring seperately using the Makerbot. The bottom half of the design is a bit warped as it had trouble sticking to the heated platform. I attached each lightning bolt to a fish hook earring using 2 jump rings, since the fish hook hole was not wide enough to attach directly to the earring.
