With this kyber crystal placeholder your lightsaber can absorb the energy from a nearby crystal and function without a crystal inside. The stability of the lightsaber can't be guaranteed, and it does appear that if left inactive long enough the lightsaber will need to be reinfused with kyber crystal energy, but it does appear to retain the energy for a while even when off. This is for use with lightsabers built in Black Spire Outpost on Batuu at a secret shop. There are daily transports to Batuu leaving Disneyland and Disney's Hollywood Studios on their Star Wars route.
