Huge Star Wars fan here! Loved working on this. I found some "official" prop dimensions online and used those for this assembly, so it should be very accurate. The only things that people might have an issue with this design is that it doesn't include the ring that's supposed to hook onto the bottom (mainly because I'd rather get an actual metal one that won't break) and also none of the buttons or switches actually move. Other than that, it should be very accurate to the actual thing. Enjoy! Things you should know: This assembly consists of 9 parts. I recommend printing parts 2, 3, 4, and 6 normally, and print parts 1, 5, 7, and 8 upside-down. Part 3.5 should be positioned with the flattest surface on the bed of the printer and the buttons facing upward. Only parts 2, 3.5, and 6 will require support material. Any amount of infill should be fine. Refer to the image to see how each part attaches to which. I suggest using a very strong adhesive to attach each part (I suggest an epoxy). I printed mine on an Ultimaker 2+ with a 0.4 mm nozzle and an infill of 15%. Total, it took me a little over 24 hours to print (I'll add this info to the download file). * Sorry, the one I made isn't all the same color because I ran out of silver colored PLA. However, I still plan on sanding, priming, painting, gluing, and adding a protective layer to it. I'll post those pictures once I've done so.
