This thing uses parts provided from the Ender 2/3/5 part-cooling fan duct (also fits CR10) by xeVox. So go over there and check out their superb cooler. After finishing the CR10 extruder fan I thought this could be even lighter by getting rid of the turbo fan. When removing the funnel from the extruder mount the need for a turbo fan was also removed. Replacing the turbo fan with a standard 40mm fan would be nice. NOTE The way the mount for the second 40mm fan is tilted will put it extremely close to the z-axis stepper mount! See the attached image. So if you have some modifications and/or use a taller fan this may not fit for you. In the picture everything on the printer is standard except for the extruder fan holder. The fan is use is an Aavid Thermalloy PAAD14010B which is 10,6mm in height. This setup leaves about 1mm of clearance. The model should be rotated on its back before printing and support is recommended. The screw holes are a bit small for the stock fan screws but a fast filing with a small screwdriver should solve that. All original screws can be used. However, the thing is a bit delicate. When printing with thinner walls and less infill it can be hard to remove support from the tilted 40mm fan mount. Be cautios with the amount of support when printing so use your good judgment.
