Lightweight Filament Spooler Retainer
thingiverse
I don't want to use a lot of plastic just for a spooler. So I made a very simple one. It is my first design. Please be gentle. It is just a cone, two holes and no material inside. Not even infill. According to Cura it uses only 12gr (4.10 mts) which was my primary goal. I use it with an Anet A8. And if you reuse the original 8mm rod with this extensions and 2xM8 nuts there is no extra material needed. Just be careful if you use glue stick like me on the hotbed because due to the shape of the cone it could be very difficult to extract later.
