1 inch aluminum square tubing, 608ZZ bearings and 5/16" 16TPI threaded rod. The Runner uses a 5/16 inch threaded insert, combined with a nut and spring to minimize backlash Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .25 Infill: 25% Notes: Runner and endstops were printed at 50% infill. Post-Printing Cut tubing to the length desired, and use a Dremel cutting wheel to expose one side for runner. Assembly is straight forward. 8MM rod works nicely too, but not readily available in the local hardware store. Rod supports help remove extra play - I also added a short sleeve of heat-shrink to the threads on the inside of the bearing for extra stability.
