I designed this gadget using Tinkercad. You can edit it online at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/dv5eARhlO6L. My lint roller recently experienced a stressful incident when it accidentally stuck to an important document as it was set down on the floor. To resolve this, I chose not to resort to wrapping it in plastic wrap. Instead, I built a lid that wraps around the roll portion. This particular cap fits perfectly with lint rollers from both Ikea and Dollar Store, so there's no doubt it will fit other types since they appear to adhere to some standards. The pivot for the hinge was created using a single piece of raw 1.75mm filament. I used melted ends to hold it firmly in place.
