LiPo 2s 2200mAh battery case for Tamiya RC Cars

Remix of LANEBoysRC LiPo case for Tamiya TL-01B chassis. This chassis is used with Baja King & Baja Champ. The case allows for the use of a 2S 2200mAh Turnigy (designed around larger 30-40C discharge model but 20-30C will also fit as it is slightly narrower) battery in a 3D printed shell that fits into the original oval NiMH space. The balance plug can tucked into the cavity within the lid so that it doesn't get damaged. This battery holder will also be suitable for other Tamiya models where you are converting to LiPo such as TL-01, TA-01, DF-02. The off-the-shelf round LiPo's don't fit into the older Tamiya models as they are approximately 5mm too long and this design allows for upgrade while still working with older chassis dimensions. LiPo battery significantly improves the performance of the car and it well worthwhile upgrading. Version 2 (Updated with end cap design) This version has the case printing vertically to improve print quality and used a tight sliding fit end cap to secure the battery. This version is a much neater solution and doesn't require any screws to hold together. It may be necessary to very lightly sand the lip where the two parts slide together but it is designed to be a tight fit so it doesn't come apart during use. The updated OpenSCAD script is included. Version 1 (Original with two halves) The case dimensions have been modified to fit a Turnigy 2s 2200 LiPo battery along with additional cutouts to the case to reduce weight and total printing time. The screw holes have also been adjusted to allow an M3 screw to be threaded in by hand rather than using a threaded insert. Print the case in two halves and then screw together with battery in place. The modified OpenSCAD script with the changes is included.
