Lipo Guards

Lipo Guards

LIPO Guards I made for the three common ones I use exclusively, Dinogy Graphene, Dinogy 4S 1350, Tattuu 4S 1550. These guards are for LIPOs mounted on the bottom of the frame. The two X's on the bottom of the guards is just a way to keep weight down. The open space in between the X spaces is to allow the battery strap to get more velcro security in case the strap doesn't wrap all the way to the other side. I did not bother adding open spaces to the sides or the fronts of the guards in order to keep the print tuning for TPU to a minimum level of complexity, and so that I can print each piece using Simplify3D fast settings, printing as fast as possible. Tip: Use structure support and ooze shield in the case of fast printing. I did not build tilt for the guards. Instead, I made a small stand which can be used to prop the quad up using the mounted LIPO. This small footprint non-fixed tilt solution makes it convenient to adjust the quad's tilt for take off, and doesn't add any extraneous weight to the guards once you're airborne. For those of you who race drones, I've customized these two guard / slide plates to support FPV Drone Transponders suitable for use on X-frame style quads. No more using zip tie and 100 mph duck tape. These are available for purchase only. https://www.facebook.com/myvwsbiz/posts/1011824028962668 02/15/2018 - Added optimized design
