Liquid Cooled Flashforge! Extruder + XYZ Nema Motors.

THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS! Please "Watch" to follow progress updates for additional photos, files and instructions. I noticed my Nema 17 motors get hot. I have a CNC Machine. I have scrap aluminum etc. I am crazy. Sooo I decided to make liquid cooling blocks. Print tank parts, Print a few water pumps, etc. Yes I did "Free hand" the milling of the aluminum. That way nobody can say they are commercially bought. Plus I broke two 1/8th milling bits on my first tool path before going 1/4th" so whatever. No big deal. I made 4 cooling blocks for 5 Nema 17s. One block is double wide for the extruders. I will print hose fittings, tank corners, water pumps, and water block to Nema fittings. Stay tuned. Update May 4th 2014: Added pump files, and dual print version of pump. Nozzle next. Instructions The parts included are for the edges of a water tank for the cooling system. They have a 2.5mm gap. When printing the "corner" it is critical that if you have a dual extruder, you print with the lower leg pointing in the direction of the extruder you are NOT using. (i.e.: If you print with your left extruder, then have the lower leg point to the right.) That way the unused extruder will not bump and knock over the part while printing the top 2 legs. I added 4 supports and turned it 45 degrees. Print with 10% infill 150mm/s extrude 200mm/s travel NO support Yes Raft 230F for ABS Use lots of silicone and 2.4mm thick plexiglass or something. Pictures soon! If you attempt to make your own water blocks, I used 6/32 screws, 3/8ths long. Still filed them down. And silicone seal before the plexyglass. I also used a 1/4th milling bit on a milling machine. Tapped all holes, even water input/output. Then filed down the backside with a dermal.
