Liquid Mixer

Liquid Mixer

This is a mixer for liquids, and requires attachment to a masonry nail for use. I have some 500ml paints with a narrow neck to their bottles, whose pigment had separated over time. This is narrow enough to enter the bottle. When attached to the nail (4.2mm body diameter, 9mm head ~120mm length) it was a snug fit, which is good as this needs to hold firm and push the liquid around. I then used the assembled piece as a drill bit in a power tool. Used for spinning counter-clockwise, so reverse the print in the x-axis if using in a uni-directional clockwise drill. It was inspired by a larger version which you can find in most hardware stores. It could alternatively be used for other liquids in small containers, such as epoxy. Printing: Scaled to 10,000 (my first upload!) x:23mm y:13.43mm z:19.53mm Scaffolding required for the top of the arch. Full print with 4x4x4 walls/top/bottom and 20% infill came to about 1g in weight. Could be printed solid. If nail is too snug a fit, then heating the nail will ... encourage the match.
