Liquid Nitrogen Phase Separator Guard

Liquid Nitrogen Phase Separator Guard

Here's a little protection for a liquid nitrogen phase separator (PS). Some folks will carelessly drop the PS on the floor after filling a dewar, thus shattering it. This piece should help to absorb some of that shock. PSs cost between $60-$100 to replace, this part costs pennies to print. To install it simply unscrew the PS from the fill hose, slide it into the open end until it bottoms out in the hexagonal recess, then screw it back onto the hose. There is also a little end cap that you can click into place for some added rigidity. 5-10-19: New one piece version coming out soon. See images for a sneak peak. I also added a stand for the hose. This helps to keep the phase sep and cage from contacting the ground at all. There is a slight conical profile to the stand; it fits better in one orientation versus the other to match the profile of the hose connector.
