The airflow of two fans is deliberately obstructed by an adjustable air valve to control their speeds manually.The reduced speed enables interesting pattern changes to occur.The three fans are connected to a 9-volt block cell, providing a stable power source.Two of the four mounting holes for each fan are countersunk on the outside, facilitating smooth movement of the air valve when it's adjusted by hand using a 5mm drill.A machine can easily damage the printed parts if it's used to make this adjustment, which would be a significant setback after several hours of printing.The third fan always operates at a constant speed, while the laser requires only 3 volts.This Lissajous pattern generator is designed to be printed with the fan walls facing upwards, and no supports are necessary.
