Listerine Reach reusable replacement head

Listerine Reach reusable replacement head

thingiverse

Designed to replace the consumable floss heads used in the Listerine Reach brand floss extender. The consumables are highly wasteful, and this design aims to replicate the functionality of the flosser while eliminating the waste that comes with needing to buy hundreds of replacement floss heads. Note: wrapping this is a bit of a trick, start in the direction of the cutout on the cleat, and wrap it a few times TIGHTLY before threading over the top of the flosser and wrapping back around to the cleat. Again, I must emphasize TIGHTLY. Then wrap around the cleat a couple of times before wrapping it around the handle once, then pinching a loop in the middle of the cleat, and tightening the end of the loop over the handle, and pulling it as tight as possible. If its confusing I can post a video tutorial. Its the same cleat hitch you'd use to tie up a boat. This is my best design so far, but I will be iterating if I can think up a better method of securing the floss, It does typically last for one entire mouths worth of teeth before breaking.
