LM8LUU Bearing Blocks for Prusa Y-Axis

LM8LUU Bearing Blocks for Prusa Y-Axis

thingiverse

Designed some blocks to mount the longer LM8LUU (8x15x45mm) linear bearings onto the Prusa i3 aluminum Y-carriage. This is designed with two M3 recessed screw holes spaced 20mm apart, with a key that fits in the hole where the original bearings were tied to. If your Y-carriage doesn't have that hole, but still has 20mm spacing for the screws, you can comment out a block of text in the .SCAD to remove the key. Requires 4x 10mm M3 screws and washers to retain the bearings, and 2x 20mm-30mm M3 socket head cap screws to screw the blocks to the Y-carriage. 20mm are long enough if your plate is threaded - use 25-30mm with nuts if yours is drilled through.
