LM8UU Bushing Block for Folgertech i3
thingiverse
This remix of FlyingMashedPotatoes LM8UU bushing is a winner. It performs incredibly well and I highly endorse it as a superior replacement for noisy bearings. http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:631285 I added a robust block to reinforce the bed platform, specifically designed for Folgertech i3 printers. The "BushingBlock" file seamlessly replaces the LM8UU bearings, while the "BushingBlockFlat" file lets you install two additional supports on the sides of the bed that originally had just one support, requiring four holes in the acrylic bed platform for zipties. The printer's bed was always a source of frustration, unstable and challenging to level. My attempt to tighten it up and increase stability resulted in a remarkable improvement. This upgrade is also compatible with the popular thing: 923023 (Y axis end stop). Print Settings: Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa i3 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.15 Infill: 100% Notes: Print in PLA or Nylon for optimal results. Slices smoothly with Slic3r. Lubricate with white lithium grease for reduced friction and noise.
