Lobster Thumb

Lobster Thumb

This is a prosthetic thumb suitable for someone missing an entire thumb - both phalanges and metacarpal. It was designed and supplied to satisfy an e-Nable request. The thumb itself is based on that from e-Nable Phoenix hand (120%), but in this case is operated by movement of the users index finger. Following feedback from the user, the position of the thumb, relative to the fingers and palm, can be changed between 3 indexed positions by changing the angle between the 2 joint pivots of the thumb proximal section. This is to enable the user to grasp objects of different sizes and shapes, as illustrated in the photos. Compared to the Phoenix thumb, the length of the proximal section has also been increased by 5mm and the width of the distal section increased to securely retain a size 1 rubber 'thimblette'. It is partially a remix of the e-Nable Phoenix hand V2 - but I can't persuade Thingiverse to accept any remix links. Any help with this appreciated.
