Lock Knob V2 - a thumb turn replacement

Howdy! I made this circular knobby thingy to replace a deadbolt thumb turn on my Kwikset lock.

I've got some rowdy dogs who can't seem to keep themselves from pawing at my deadbolts when something outside is afoot (me, usually). So, in order to make locking and unlocking my deadbolts more difficult for them, I printed this cylindrical thumb turn replacement!
This knob fits snugly over my current Kwikset deadbolt locks and uses the existing setting nut on the original thumb turn to keep the 3D printed knob securely affixed to the lock.
I've modeled a small arrow to indicate the position of the knob – throw a little shade from a marker or paint it to really make it pop!

Perhaps this design can help you too! Or, maybe you just like the look!

This is version 2 of the knob, measuring approximately 22mm deep with a diameter of 50mm. Includes arrow position indicator and knurled outside wall.

If printing .4mm line width below .2mm layer height, I recommend utilizing at least 4 walls to ensure enough material for the lock nut to bite into AND remain strong.

Enjoy!
