The Rotary Airer can be difficult to use when it is windy, this design enables the user to lock the arms in a stationary position by moving the black lock to the upper position to make loading the washing easier and safer having both hands free to hang the washing out. The black lock can then be moved back to the lower position to leave the arms and washing to rotate freely in the wind.
