Logitech C270 Web Cam Gantry Mount for RigidBot

I wanted a Gantry mounted camera on my Rigidbot that was fixed at the hot end at all times, and wouldn't require any extra hardware to install... This is it. This is designed for a Logitech C270 web-cam, though other Logitech cameras might fit. The camera is mounted such that it clears the bed and any printed objects that might be on it. I set it as far back as possible for the widest view, while still keeping the camera inside the frame of the RigidBot. It inserts snugly into beam on the side of the gantry and it's angled such that the camera lens will point to the exact center of the bed when the bed is centered. It hangs below the hot end so that you have an excellent view of it at all times. the only real "blind spot is if the hot end is tucked all the way toward the X motor, but correcting this blind spot while still keeping the camera in-bounds of the frame would have meant larger blind spots elsewhere. Post-Printing Installing the Camera The camera must be removed from it's original mount. There are two rubber plugs on either end of the hinge that need to be removed (I used an xacto knife), then there is a small philips screw in one side, remove the screw then push out the plastic hinge pin. to free the camera. The hinge pin and screw will need to be reused to install the camera on the mount, There is enough room to insert the hinge pin from the inside edge. There are anti-rotation flats inside the mount so if insertion is difficult make sure the pin is aligned properly. Once through you can snug up the philips screw on the outside edge to keep the pin from backing out. This should be snug enough that the camera will hold it's position without sagging. Once the camera is installed on the mount it can be inserted into the gantry beam. Again this should be snug to keep it moving around, but you may need to use a razor to shave down any edges that might have spurs or ooze that might be keeping it from inserting all the way.
