Logitech C920 Webcam Telescope Adapter

Full enclosure for the main PCB of a Logitech C920 webcam, sans optics, for use in prime focus astrophotography. Instructions Requires some soldering skill. Some parts may require trimming to fit. Disassemble a Logitech C920 webcam and extract the main PCB with the attached USB cable. Remove the two screws holding the auto-focus assembly to the PCB. Save these screws for later. Carefully desolder the auto-focus motor and remove the assembly without damaging the PCB. Important: DO NOT TOUCH THE SENSOR! Print ccd_cover.stl and adapter.stl using a 0.2?m layer height. Insert the square end of the CCD cover into the square hole in the telescope adapter on the side away from the tube (not inside the tube). Attach with super glue and allow to dry. Print back.stl using a 0.3?m layer height and check that the adapter fits. Sand and trim as necessary. Attach the CCD cover to the PCB in place of the original auto-focus assembly using the two screws saved earlier. Again, be sure to avoid contact with the sensor, which should be centered in the square window inside the tube. Insert the PCB and attached front cover into the back of the enclosure. The USB cable should fit through the provided slot with the rubber strain relief on the inside, to ensure tension on the cable is transmitted to the case and not the PCB. Secure the front of the case to the back with small screws in each of the four corners, or (as I did) by wrapping both ends of the case in clear tape. (Optional) Print cap.stl to cover the end of the tube and protect the sensor when not in use. You may find it a bit large; I wrapped the outer edge in black electrical tape for a more secure fit.
