Helicopter Cyclic controls generally operate with just finger pressure and often, if not always do not re-center. It seems, as far as I can find out, they also stay where you put them. These features I wanted in a desktop cyclic. Therefore I have come up with this mod for a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. Yes, people have removed the detent spring etc. but that makes it almost incontrollable as it will just flop around when you let it go. The mod is very simple. It is great for helicopters but not so good for airplanes. Just print the ball, dismantle the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro, remove the white detent collar, replace it with the ball. PS. leave the spring in place, it is required. Reversible ant any time. https://youtu.be/uJaScQKxH5o Help to open etc. here https://www.ifixit.com/Device/Logitech_Extreme_3D_Pro I found it was much better to use if I pulled the boot up on top of the base. It does not look so good but stops the rubber from affecting the stick position.
