I have "Elf Ears" as my dad calls them. So finding a pair of headphones that fit without squashing my ears is difficult. I bought some Logitech headphones to see if they would be big enough. They weren't, so instead of taking them back to the shop and trying other ones, I decided to make a mod. So this happened. How I Designed This How the design came about: I first scanned the headphones on a flatbed scanner :P (Im surprised at the result being as accurate as it is) Then I went into GIMP and started taking out all the background until all I was left with was the outline and screw holes for the cups. Then I went into Inkscape and did a bitmap trace to get an SVG, neatened it up a bit and exported as SVG. I imported the SVG into Blender and started extruding the parts and shrinking down layers and extruding some more until I got the finished product. (TIP: I found that from an Inkscape to Blender trnasfer - you need to scale the SVG 1004 times in each direction) Not perfect, but good enough for printing. Made a duplicate, mirrored the one side on the x-axis (Ctrl + M, then X for x-axis mirror) and exported as STL Files, one for each side, printed them out and BAM! Headphones that fit my Elf ears. Scan of the headphones Got rid of the background + some touchups
