UPDATE: This is a PROJECT just like every Thingiverse upload, I DONT guarantee that this is a production grade product. If you encounter problems while printing I am happy to help, I am not online every day, especially in the holidays. I also have a lot of other things to do in my life so I might not answer for a few days or weeks. That doesn't mean that I am Ignoring you. Printing on your own risk of waisting Filament, but I think this is clear to everyone. UPDATE: fixed wrong hole alignment due to wrong file being uploaded. This Modification will give the Shifter a more Industrial look which I personally like. You also wont have to cut, glue or drill in any of the Original Parts so you can easily go back to the Original g27 Shifter if you want to sell it or just dont feel like using this Mod anymore. I put a lot of time into this Project and really tried to make it as good as possible but if you have further improofment Ideas let me know or remake it. To build this mod you will need 16 M4 by 16mm Cylinder Head Screws, a little bit of super glue and a few tools. Dissasembly: To get started you want to unscrew the hold down clamps, by removing the Nut on the bottom of both clamps. Than you want to fully unscrew the clamps untill you can take out the actual clamping part. Be sure to keep all the Original Parts somewhere where you dont loose them just in case you want to sell your shifter later. Now you want to take of the cap on top of the shifter to reveel the screw that holds down the knob. After you removed the shifter knob you want to remove the 6 screws that hold down the Leather boot. Now you can start removing the Case by unscrewing the 8 Philips screws on the bottom of the shifter Case. Be sure to remove the top part of the Case very slowly and carefully from the bottom one becasue there are wires connected on the back of the button panel. Unplug the connectors of the back of the button panel carefully before taking the two halfs apart. Take the top part of the shifter and remove the black philips screw on the pcb of the button panel. Then carefully remove the Button panel by pushing the little plastic clamps inwards. Now remove the Shifter mechanism. (Dont loose the ball, trust me you will be searching your floor for a while) Assembly: Get started by puting the shifter mechanism into the new case, again be carefull not to loose the little ball bearing. Its a bit tricky, so you might want to take your time and get a beer. Now use the shifter extension to press the metall plates inwards so that the holes lign up. Screw in the screws, you dont need to cut threads or anything, it will work just fine if you just screw the screws in the plastic. Now take the little potentiometer clamp and glue it on the main case like shown in the pictures, be carefull that the little green ball is inside of the clamp so that the potentiometer cant rotate on itself. Screw the bottom plate on and glue the extension ontop of the main case, now you can screw the H pattern on. Screw on the metall shifter extension and its finished. (If you cant make one yourself, I can make you one. You will have to pay for Shipping though. Just text me) Pretty straight forward actually. I will be updating this page with different H patterns which will add resistance so that the shifting feels heavier. You can also add rubber bands on the inside of the plastic extension to further customize the feel.
