These files are here to be tinkered with by the community NOT for someone to make a quick buck screwing over their customers with parts lacking long-term durability testing. EDIT: 12/24/20 My PETG printed model broke in a shorter time than the PLA one. Hoping to do some testing with annealing used. Maybe I'll even break into the roll of Carbon fiber embedded Nylon one of these days. Stiffener UPDATED 10/18/20 -Top 'wings' are now slightly longer to prevent catching on the internals of shifter housing. My PLA Stiffener Failed after 5 months of moderate use. Reprinted in PETG for another round of testing. Changed slicer settings for infill to run parallel to wings instead of small 45 passes. I am not using the leather boot. Old file is still available with shorter wings. Stiffener UPDATED 5-29-20 -Changed forward angle to match shaft angle for 1,3,5 gear positions -Added more material vertically for more tension -Added more material just before each gear position for more snap I recommend printing both pieces 100% solid with no voids... Confirmed working with G27 by: y0ghurtsuit (Thank you for sharing your results) This is a modification of Shravanlal's Logitech G920 Shift Firmness Mod (Which was heavily inspired by Lextsy's Logitech G27 H-Shifter Stiffener). Many thanks to Shravanlal for sharing your cad files. =) UPDATED Fusion File: https://tinyurl.com/y7c2bge2 Edited Fusion File: https://tinyurl.com/usr8hxw There is a proper orientation (see third image) I find it feels best without the leather boot on the shifter. From my tests the boot still fits and doesn't affect functionality. Other than adding a small amount of grease these should be ready to go off the printer. I went through 3-4 versions before I settled on this one. Hopefully these will last with use but I have yet to do long term durability testing. I'll edit if I change anything for longevity. 'Stiffner' -Filleted horizontal guides so they dont catch on shifter -Maxed out vertical guide length for stability -Increased Vertical guide height -Elongated retention slot for forward shift positions (IE: 1,3,5,ect...) for better feel -Added fillets where stiffener slides under retention bracket 'Retention Bracket' -Added fillets where stiffener slides under retention bracket -Lowered & beefed up wings that get held under the shifter ring -Slightly increased round corners (lol) to meet leather boot/ shifter ring
