Lollipop Bouquet

Lollipop Bouquet

This makes a base full of roughly-evenly spaced holes to accept lollipops to make a nice bouquet. I filled mine with Dum Dum suckers. The base is a sphere with the angled holes in it. The bottom of the base is chopped off to give a flat surface so the bouquet can be glued to something, set on a table or whatever. I uploaded the code to customizer as well, so you can adjust: The size of the sphere What fraction of the bottom of the sphere to cut off The diameter of the lollipop stick (to allow for something other than Dum Dums The total number of lollipop sticks (note, though, that this is not an exact number. I distribute the number entered here across the entire sphere, so some are cut off at the base). The depth into the base that the sticks go. Print Settings Printer: Flashforge Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 10% Notes: Everything prints fine for me on the default settings without rafts/supports, but if you make enough changes in customizer, you might encounter an arrangement that fails without them. How I Designed This The even distribution of points across a sphere is surprisingly difficult. I used information posted by Jim Bumgardner about using a fibonacci spiral on openprocessing.org here: http://www.openprocessing.org/sketch/41142
