Longer Gimbal arm to mount camera housing

I was working on a variation of the Open Brushless Gimbal (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:110731), as reworked by MikeyB for the Crossfire platform (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:140126). I have the cheap Denver action cam, so I had actually printed the casing by toto99303 (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:876614), when I found out that the designs of MikeyB and toto99303 weren't quite compatible: two screw mounts for the servo were opposite each other. As I set out to remix, I got a better idea. I noticed that many of the gimbal designs place the camera (be it GoPro or another) out in the open, with only a little plastic to protect it from a crash or hard landing. I've always liked the 'bulletproof' casing that came with my action cam. So what I did is extend one of the arm designs by MikeyB by 2 cm. The hole in the center (normally for the servo axis) is used for the normal tripod screw (M6, I think). The added advantage is that it's a more universal solution than the different boxes for each particular camera type. The only downside I can see is that the camera is off centre of the drone a little now. The photograph shows the principle: you print two sets of arms and attach the camera housing to one of them. I will assemble the whole thing once my servos (finally) arrive.
