Loom band shooter So my daughter got bored of making loom band stuff and we started flicking them at each other… which inevitably led to this little beauty. You can use pretty much any material or thickness you like from 2mm up to 6mm. I made mine from 3mm plywood but you could also use mdf or acrylic. Materials: 3mm plywood 8mm dowel 4 off M4 nuts and bolts (for assembly only – to be removed later) Wood glue Lots of loom bands Instructions: Laser the parts Sand parts B and C to be about 0.5mm thinner than the other parts, so they rotate when in place unobstructed. Use a bit of wax to make sure they rotate nicely. Dab some glue between the parts then assemble and hold in place while glueing with the m4 nuts and bolts.make sure not to get any glue on the rotating parts. Allow glue to set Remove the nuts and bolts Sand smooth Use a spare loom band to attach the trigger to the small hook on the barrel. Find a child aged 4 or over. Show them how to load and shoot. Apologise to the person that is going to be spending the next month picking up loom bands I’m working on a loom band powered crossbow next. Byee Edit: in case you're wondering... the photo is of shooter Version 1. the designs and drawings are of design version 2.
