LoRa Lightning Detector Enclosure

LoRa Lightning Detector Enclosure

thingiverse

An enclosure for the electronics of a lightning detector. It picks up the sferics on the ferrite rods (90° apart), these are amplified by the sensor boards and then fed to the main PCB. This has a PIC microcontroller and a LoRa transmitter. The board transmits the total number of detected sferics every couple of minutes. Full project link TBD. This enclosure is not weather proof and is only intended for indoor use. M3 brass inserts are pressed in to hold the lid on and to secure the ferrite rods.
