As a kid growing up, I always scribbled car designs. Fantastic re-creations of Hotwheels or imagined hot rods. Moving into Highschool, my independent studies class in Drafting was to design various modes of transportation. Cars, tractor trailers and boats. When I discovered Tinkercad, I was like a kid in a candy store... anything is possible. Presented here is one example of my thoughts on Auto Design. Allow me to introduce the LOREN V1. Heavily influenced by Cobra's, Karma Ghia's and 1960's Lemans cars. This race coupe (in street trim) features a mid engine design paired with an exotic "Appleman" transaxle. Large diameter alloy wheels mimic vintage Halibrands. I can only image the roar of the V-8 through the straight exhaust as the short wheel base coupe grapples with a corner, clutching for traction. I welcome comments as this is one of few original designs I've shared. If I get requests, I will complete a race inspired interior as well. ABOUT the MODEL: It is roughly 1/10 scale and could be split into sections to print on any printer. All separated parts have a .02mm clearance for a snug fit when assembling and the transaxle / exhaust will have to be glued in place as it is not indexed. If you download a copy...PLEASE, leave a comment. I really would like to know your thoughts! Also, if you print a LOREN V1... share pics. I'm dying to see one in real life! Thank you for looking!
